EuroMillions Record Smashed in France
A lucky French player has broken the record for the largest single-ticket win on EuroMillions.
There was a single winner of the EuroMillions jackpot on Friday 15th October. A lucky French player matched all the numbers to net a prize worth £185 million.
The winning numbers were 21, 26, 31, 24 and 49, plus the Lucky Stars 2 and 5. Across Europe, there were millions of winners, with British players collecting many of the draw’s smaller prizes.
It’s yet to be seen whether the winner will be happy for more information to be revealed about them and their story when they come forward to claim their prize. Regardless, their win will go down in history as the biggest EuroMillions jackpot of all time.
This record win is the latest in a string of single tickets taking home record EuroMillions jackpots at the cap. This latest record-breaking win surpasses the previous record of €210 million won by a Swiss player back in February 2021, which itself broke the record set just a few months earlier of a €200 million win back in December 2020, again by a French player.
Since this latest win, the jackpot cap for EuroMillions now stands at €230 million.
